I sorta saw JK ex-colleague at Taka a few months back and I didnt really saw him but I saw these 2 guys back and I was slow to check out the guy beacause I was too busy looking ard!! Whatever is the case.. the 2 from behind looks kinda yummy.. ok only 1 looked like a yummy guy and the other .. hmm just tall lah.. You know how I am about tall guys.. I think they are 1 in a million and hate them, because they always dont date their counterparts 'THE TALL GIRLS' *FUME*

So ...told zohter abt it and She was like asking to check out JK ex-colleague *eligible single male*. JK also told this ex-colleague of his that we have an eligible female *read: Zohter* OK maybe I and JK didnt do anything horrible to them lah.. Anyway the thing is for the longest time we tried them to let them meet up but our schedule simply dont work.

So zohter came back from HK yesterday and we decide to JUST DO IT.. we went to pick her up from the airport went to Cafe Cartel at Siglap and do the blind date thing and intro the 2 kiddos to each other. The guy is TALL.. but that's about it... ok so I am kinda shallow but the POINT IS he is really fine and Zohter although was a bit apprehensive at first manage to lossen up. At least the guy have a sense of humour.. and the fact is he is tall! Let's see how this blind date is going to lead to. I told zohter worse senario she and Kel will go speed dating .. LAST RESORT..

The thing about 26 is that you feel how fast that stupid biological clock goes tick tick and when you see your peers settling down or will be in the next couple of years you panic and run ard like chicken without their heads. You try to think positively and you find out that ppl keep going on abt women being weird when they are still single in their 30s and 40s. I work with a few before and I swear that theory is so totally true!
My IT person is only 31 and single and she ald bonkers! so you see.. the pressure is on and I think I should quit and be a full time match maker!

Had a nice Monday .. not that I dont enjoy my Mondays.. I hate it that I have to start work and face a whole chunk of questioning at work about what happen in Phoenix over the weekend.. 'Why this why that... why we dont have answers..'

I love it when it ends because it marks the nearing of the weekend and another day gone. TV also seems way better than ordinary day like Tuesday or Wednesday.. Wait! I like Tuesday sitcoms as well... and I think Wednesday too.. Oh well.. TV is good everyday.

Yesterday was nice because JK came to my place right after work. I mean judging from our work schedule and the hours we put in for OTs our timing that we can meet on weekday is close to impossible. Anyhow went to take dinner at Pizza hut.. walked to toy'rus where he bought a wound up fish for God's know what. I bought 2 pair of slippers for $5.. Watched 'Beautiful Boxer' which is kinda heart warming and really tranvesitites seems not to freak me out that much. I Love these foreign movies.. caught 'The Green Butcher' during the film festival last month and absolutely hilarious too. *sigh* we dont have enough of these films.. too much hollywood fanfare.. ALTHOUGH I am a big sucker for it..

Had my toasted marshmallows finally on Saturday. After numerous BBQ and forgetting to buy marshmallows till the very last minute. I FINALLY GOT MY MARSHMALLOWS!!! Yeah!! I had my first BBQ in a penthouse. I hope that spell the coming of more such BBQ, party from the penthouse all over singapore.. *snigger* I knoe.. me sound so awe struck but since Teng moved to the Penthouse I think my fascintion started to wane because think no biggie ald. Went to watch Troy yesterday! Read about the so many reviews and stuff on magazines, forum, website on Brad Pitt losing of appeal in the Movie. Come to a conclusion of the reviewers *ok I know I come up with too many conclusion..*

I wasnt crazy about Brad Pitt before.. I mean ya I will go 'He's cute' but I wouldnt want to catch certain shows of certain genres because of him. However I think now I would after watching Troy.. Totally drool-o-licious tons!He is just so manly, barely look 40 and his bod is so stud!! Even JK was like impress with his bod. I kinda think Achillies is the star of the show.. totally no doubt. So many people say bloom was like ultimately the star.. Duh.. he was really just a chicken prince who cannot even fight without Bana's help.

Pitt totally show how versatile guys are.. ok maybe show so how HE IS SO VERSATILE :

1.I have never in my life saw braids that look so neat on a guys head. Brad certainly show he can carry the looks well despite the no Vidal Sassoon back then hoho..

I think 2hrs 45 minutes simply flew by.. Value for money *I mean there is a LOT of people acting in the movie for $8.50* if there is a movie that you want to go to watch in the cinema again. This will be it! Although I have never watch Titanic before.. I think that movie still doesnt deserve to be watched so many times by people!

I got a Minolta Konica Camera.. the slimmest of them all from JK!! He got that as a replacement on Monday before I yelled at him for being such a toad getting me Extrim! ho ho

I refuse to open the camera until yesterday after much cajoling from him. I didnt want him to think that I quarrel with him over the values of the gift. I was looking at the sincerity and thoughts behind the gift. Extrim = no thoughts!!! Really pricey that gadget.. After 6 years with him I finally got a decent gift. No more sweets in pencil box or Ah-long style bracelets! Yeah! I thought he should know how I feel about the gifts after all I just simply stow it in my cabinets.

Zohter was like.. after the time I spent planning for his gifts.. I finally had some rewards after 6 years! Ha! Even she was like so mad at him..

Today having media law.. sian got to go for lesson. However I think the lecturer going to talk abt the 'Lobster without Privacy' case! So hilarious that case! About how an article cause the restaurant so much loss after diner started to read a food editor review the resturant!

One of his point was that.. Why do we just put seafood in tanks at Restaurants? To prove their freshness and have the diners gawk at them while they poo-ing, sleeping, or dreaming? Than why dont people start having 'live' pigs and cows in the middle of the restuarant to prove their freshness.. we can even hear the squeal as they get slaughter in the kitchen. Food for thoughts! Maybe we should start to suggest to Boon Tong Kee to start rearing live chickens in the front of their shop just to validate their freshness! Ho ho ho...

Anyway boss wont be please.. whatever.. He keep telling me he wants to sit down with me with the plans of CX off load. And he didnt get me on so many days. On a lighter note he didnt call me on my cell so technically I am safe until tomorrow.

We had some poly boys on attachment with our company from this week till June. With our grueling workload, I can only wish them good luck. I mean at least we get paid good money. They.. poor things.. only $400. However my boss is definetely going to bring them some place for dinner or something.

Had a major quarrel with JK about his insensitive gift the Extrim. I mean I can only take it this much! Told him I dont want any extrim although I am fat! Whatever is the case he can get me extrim on normal days and not on MY BIRTHDAY! I remember 2 years back his biz trip coincide with my birthday and he didnt even buy me anything or wish me happy birthday! I have my temper like right there! Ok I am being a major pain in the butt! Zohter say is all my fault.. never put any expectation on him and I got to be the only girl in the planet that can tahan him not calling me for the entire work week.

Anyway I was eating lunch at home today because took half day leave to work on the essays.. Mum fried a fish and cook some veggies. Make me think of the time when I was still in School.. After school I used to sometimes have lunch at home and I love it when mum cook. So nostalgia. Mom seldom cook lunch so was totally feeling so cosy today!You have to wait until you stay home away from work and you get to lavish in mum's pamper! sigh.. I feel so bad I am not doing anything for mom on mother's day. I used to tell this story every year when ppl asked me why I dont celebrate mom day.. not that I dont love her but just that the principle behind that matter..

I was a kiddo back then.. wanting to give my mom a surprise I sneak out in the morning to buy jelly powder and some ingredients to make this jelly feature in my magazine 'Funland'. One of the ingredient was evapourated milk. Being only 8 I have totally no idea and thought condensed milk must be the same thing. BIG MISTAKE.

Anyhow you can imagine the supposingly nice jello was weird with the condensed milk sweetness in it. I have no idea and still gave it to mum.. She totally refuse to touch it and say no way is she eating anything I made. I was so upset that day. Dad got to work on sundays back then and when he came back in the evening to see his lil o princess sulking in front of the TV. I told dad that mom didnt appreciate my effort and guess what.. my pops finished the whole jello! And he was saying it was nice! I tried a bite and I thought the taste was weird. Haha.. that's my pop.. trying to please his princess *snigger*

After that incident totally swore of mother day and every year I make a point not to get anything for mum.. totally unfillial I know but still cannot shake the shadow of that incident off.. haha. Anyway our family seldom give pressies and stuff. So might as well! heeee
